Okay...
This is my first post in two weeks...
I finally got my Facebook side restarted and have resumed stalking catching up on other people.
Chances are, I probably won't be able to post for another eternity or so as I'll be mugging my brains out for Prelims and the big one in October.
Yes, I know this is a short post, but what the heck.
And off I go to fight the good fight... Wish me luck...

Second week of Term 3 gone.
A review of the week so far.
Monday
Holiday in lieu of Youth Day. Studied like nobody's business (Damn! I know its grammatically incorrect).
Tuesday
Screwed up Chinese 'O' Level Oral examinations which I thought was held the on Wednesday. I basically stuttered through the passage and my conversation with the examiners, the topic of which was plastic surgery, lasted two minutes flat. The worst part was that one of the examiners was from Chung Cheng High (Main), a si-beh cheena school. Like what I said for my English MYEs. I'll be lucky if I pass, a distinction (which I think is a pipe dream) would be divine intervention.
Wednesday
Nothing much.
Thursday
I have alot to write about Thursday.
Today, 180 students (including me) plus some male teachers went bald for charity. Yep, its for Hair For Hope. When the school held the event last year, the barber gave us a crudely done crew cut. This year's event was worse. After the barbers were through with you, you were a skinhead. Mdm Soh, in an apparent desperate bid to defend her Best Class Award title, made more than half the class shave for charity. We missed two periods of Biology and when we were done, Ms Chen thought that she was teaching in a monastery.
"Oh my God! Half the class are neo-nazis now!"-Samuel Morrison
Chinese for the day was pretty slack. Instead of revising my schoolwork, I promply started work on my alternate history scenario for Singapore. Shannon decided to join in.
Friday to Sunday
Ditto Wednesday. Other than the fact that I received many curious stares from many people in church about my hairless head. Nicky had commented that I was on the wrong side of the road (Note: There is a Buddhist or Taoist temple across the road).
Okay... I'm too lazy to carry on blogging, let alone do any useful schoolwork. For the rest of the hour I have, I'm either going to wreak havoc on the Alternate History Forums or play Battlefield Heroes.

durrrrh...
I have two words to summarise the week and it ain't in proper English.
The words are: Mesa tired.
The beginning of the school term on Monday also marked the start of an endless barrage of classes that end the school day at four or six in the afternoon. I was so disorientated that by Wednesday, I had no idea if I was coming back from NCC training (which so happens to fall on Wednesday) or from classes.
To top it all, I had to go back to school to help out in the epic fail of the Haunted House. Because of that, I zhaoed the jogation to help out at the Shamrock Cove. To be frank. it was an epic fail. From what I heard, the one at KC is better than the one we put up. But then again, we scared quite a few people. My 'dead soldier' ruse scared quite a few girls. It did not work on a few Patricians because they spoiled the whole thing by flushing out their would-be scarers. I nearly had my balls trampled on by some kid. Even though the haunted house was a total cock-up, it was fun. I dragged four camouflage nets from the Cove to the NCC store (which are pretty far away from each other) during the pack up.
I walked to Kembangan with Julius after the pack up. We left for our own seperate ways at the MRT. I went to Mak's Place for dinner (not) before going off for youth service at church. Samuel had to refer to me as one part of his sermon inchuded Major Richard Winters and a certain incident in Carentan. You see, the sermon topic was "Come follow me". The theme was taken from Matthew 4:19 : "Come follow me," Jesus said, "And I will make you fishers of men". Since I was the only leading expert on military history around =), Sam consulted me on it.
After youth servce, I went home by MRT with Amos, Ruth, Mel and Joel. Mel was insanely high throughout MRT ride from Kembangan to her drop-off point at Aljunied. She was high for a good fifteen minuites or so, saying tons of random stuff. Don't want to talk much about this even though it was si-beh funny. Damn Vista parental controls about to lock me out. So it's Radio Berlin signing off for now.

Hurray!!! my 100th post. The game was reviewed by Amos who got a beta key. At this point of time, there are no comments. Play it for yourself. I haven't got started because my dad has been occupying the internet connection for work purposes. Methinks that Battlefield Heroes is a good parody of alot of WWII shooter games especially Battlefield 1942 School's starting tomorrow. I feel drained and demoralised already. I seriously need to get my war machine up and running.
Let's see. I pertty much wasted away the fourth and final week of the holidays. I finished all the Biology MCQs. I started on bits of theother piles of worksheets though.
I watched my third movie in barely two weeks. I went down to Tampines Mall to watch Transformers with quite alot of people from church. It was a good movie, despite it being a two hour advert for all four armed services of the U.S.: Army, Air Force, Navy and Marines. There were a few overly cheesy bits and sexual innuendos.
Join the US Army and fight alongside cool, big and badass alien robots today!
Church today was pretty much the usual routine. Uncle Andrew's sermon today made me feel very guity about turning up late for 1st service. So, I hereby resolve to turn up early or on time for service starting next week. I stayed back after Sunday School with Mel, Danielle and Sam Rajoo for a mugging session that rapidly turned into a talk cock session about a variety of random topics.
Finally, after over six months of waiting. those bastards at Electronic Arts released Battlefield Heroes along with a new trailer which looks like the Pokemon intros.

Everything--Lifehouse
Find Me Here
Speak To Me
I want to feel You
I need to hear You
You are the light
That's leading me to the place
Where I find peace again.
You are the strength, that keeps me walking.
You are the hope, that keeps me trusting.
You are the light to my soul.
You are my purpose...you're everything.
How can I stand here with You and not be moved by You?
Would You tell me how could it be any better than this?
You calm the storms, and you give me rest.
You hold me in your hands, you won't let me fall.
You steal my heart, and you take my breath away.
Would you take me in? Take me deeper now?
How can I stand here with You and not be moved by You?
Would You tell me how could it be any better than this?
And how can I stand here with You and not be moved by You?
Would You tell me how could it be any better than this?
Cause You're all I want
You're all I need
You're everything, everything
You're all I want
You're all I need
You're everything, everything
You're all I want
You're all I need
You're everything, everything
You're all I want
You're all I need
You're everything, everything
And how can I stand here with you and not be moved by you?
Would you tell me how could it be any better than this?
How can I stand here with you and not be moved by you?
Would you tell me how could it be any better than this?
How can I stand here with You and not be moved by you?
Would You tell me how could it be any better than this?
Would You tell me how could it be any better than this?

This is going to be another one helluva post.
Okay. Yesterday was the Amazing Race (the BCYouths one, not the AXN one).
Brendan, Troy, Dawn, Amos and I raced all over Singapore doing probably some very crazy things along the way.
Let's see. Where do I begin?
I went to church at 0930 hrs to relax there for awhile before I went to pick up Troy and Brendan. The Amazing Race committee members (who had slept overnight in church in sleeping bags or on sleep-inducing beanbags) said that I had come in way too early. Well, my team was the first to report. And I always thought Patricians were famous for being late.
Troy and Brendan were pretty amazed that we had cushy seats in the worship hall. Apparently, they didn't have that over at OLPS and at Holy Family. Combine that with 1 hour at Mass and you'll get one pain arse. Ruth also made excessive use of the phrase 'Epic Fail' during the pre-race briefing.
First station was at the Science Centre. Brendan did a deceptive maneuver that probably fooled no one. Troy, upon leaving the train, decided to parkour over the glass wall. He fell on the floor and hurt his butt real bad.But the good part about the station was that we reached there at approximately the same time as the station master, Joshua Chin. We did the task he gave us and went on our way.
The next station at IKEA Alexandria was quite amusing. After doing a task in front of 7-11 for bonus points, we decided to walk to IKEA and we got lost in Queenstown. By the way, the task at 7-11 was to be filmed shouting "Extra, Extra. Read all about it." while waving around a newspaper. It was a job I, the designated sai kang warrior, did. It took us quite awhile to get to IKEA. Once at IKEA, we were supposed to find the prices of a list of stuff. We decided to split up to cover more ground. Dawn went with Brendan and I went with Troy and Amos. While Dawn and Brendan searched high and low for the items, my sub-group went to the e-catalogue and asked a friendly staff member to help us look for those items.
Of all the stations, the Fort Canning one was a killer. We came up the wrong end and had trouble searching for a piece of fauna called Pimenta. We were at the Spice Gardens hunting high and low for the damn thing. I sent Brendan down the road leading up to the Registry of Marriages (Clue:'Pimenta' was on her way to get married. Where does she come from?). Troy looked at some random sign and he found it. Our group got lost in our search for two particular blokes whose pictures we were supposed to identify. I led everyone to the Battlebox hoping to find out who the guy in the uniform was. Apparently he wasn't there. I also led the team off the route and realised to my horror later that it was Percival (Dun-dun dunnnnn!!!). Walked off to SMU after the debacle at Fort Canning.
I don't know the school well to know where in blue hell the Office of Student Life was. I later found out that it was in the basement and our station master, Pamela, was stoning at the food court with Matthew and Fifi. The latter two tried to lead us off the trail by giving fake locations that turned out to be correct. The task was very easy.
Walked to the next station at McDonalds at Raffles City. Some poor team initally thought that the station was at the Raffles Statue at Empress Place because of the very misleading clue. Janice Tay was tending to the station with Nicky. The clues Janice gave led us to the Esplanade where we played a drinking game. Task done, we headed off to the Asian Civilizations Museum to do a bonus task and it was off to Simei.
Because of what happened at the Simei station, I will NEVER ever drink bubble tea again. Basically, we were supposed to dunk our hands into a bucket of I-don't-know-what-the-crap's-inside-it to find Scrabble tiles that form the word Fear Factor. Geng Zhi, the station master, gave us the choice of dunking our hands into bucket A or B. We all chose A, but Troy overrode our decisions and picked B. Bucket A was filled with agar-agar. Bucket B was filled with a putrid mixture of different flavours of bubble tea from Sweet Talk. Come to think of it, maybe there was a clue somewhere with the labelling. A for agar-agar and B for Bubble Tea.
After our last station, we went to ring the bell at Long John Silver's as part of the bonus points task. We had originally wanted to go to TJC to write down its Tamil name and to take a photo at its sign. Though it gave a lot more points than being one of the first five teams to reach church, it was also a very risky enterprise because coming in after 1800hrs costs 5 points per minute late.
Despite being the first team to arrive back at church, Cherlyn's group took the top prize of a $100 Baker's Inn voucher. Ruth had commented that the group would 'eat until they die'. But what the heck. We all had fun anyways.
Well. This may not be the Oscars or the Academy Awards but I've got a hell lot of people to thank.
Firstly, I'd like to thank Brendan and Troy for turning up for the event. =)
Secondly, I'd like to thank Dawn for being a great camerawoman. =))
Thirdly, I'd like to thank the Amazing Race committee for having organised a si beh swee event. =)))
Last but not least, I'd like to thank God for making all of this possible.
Sons of St. Patrick's-Valiant and True!
PS: Ich liebe die neue BCYouths Website =)
